If there ever comes a day where I don’t care about a new mainline Pokémon game, ask me as many questions as you can, and try to see if I was hacked, because I don’t think there will ever be a day where Pokémon doesn’t have my heart, soul, and wallet all lined up in adoration.
And Sword and Shield, despite all the concerns raised since the first reports of the game came out, continues that time-honored tradition of stealing my heart and all of my free time.
If nothing else, I am a hopelessly devoted fan of the Luigi’s Mansion series. The original was one of the first video games I remember playing on the GameCube (along with Super Mario Sunshine, which is criminally underrated and deserves a sequel for the Switch), and its spooky-with-a-side-of-cute flavor captured my heart from day one.
Now that was in 2002. 17 whole years later, I still love this weird green man and his reluctant ghostbusting gig, and it gives me all kinds of joy to say that Nintendo knocked Luigi’s Mansion 3 out of the park!

Look, when a game’s tagline is that good, I just have to play it, okay? And when it goes above and beyond to deliver on horrible gooseness, obviously I have to talk about it!
So happy Thanksgiving, and have some good, good words about a terrible, terrible goose.
Most of us know Hamlet pretty well at this point, right? Y’know, tragic mess of a Dane who goes on a bit of a murder spree instead of communicating like a normal human being? That Shakespeare thing?
But even if you know Hamlet well (or maybe because you do!), To Be or Not To Be is nothing you’re prepared for, and everything worth checking out where this classic is concerned.
Also, it’s even more of a hot mess than the original, and in the BEST way, so what are you waiting for?
Every blogger needs a break from books, even me. Thankfully, games like The Yawhg exist to provide that perfect chance to step away from the page without stepping away from the wonderful possibilities of fiction.
After playing Ōkami, of course I had to get my hands on the sequel, had to get back to that beautiful painted world because I didn’t want to let it go.
And you know? It was by and large worth it.
One of the toughest parts about playing tabletop RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons is getting the whole group together to actually play. But there’s a way to avoid that stress, and it comes in the shape of a video game! Actually, two games! Who knew?
But if you’re itching to play a TTRPG and don’t have a group, or tired of not being able to pull the whole party together, you might just want to hear what I have to say about the Knights of Pen and Paper games!
By now, you’ve probably heard of Ōkami. It was originally released in 2006, and has since made itself a favorite to fans everywhere.
Today, you’re going to hear about it again, because I JUST FINISHED, AND I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS WOLF AND THE SUN AND HER LITTLE BUG FRIEND FIGHTING THE FORCES OF DARKNESS IN THE LAND OF NIPPON.
Buckle up, folks. This one’s an AMAZING game. (One which I will not spoil because the experience is best, well, experienced, so read on without fear!)
