Turns out that Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm Blog has two weeks in a row of reminding me of what I should be reading! I can use NaNoWriMo as an excuse for a couple more weeks, but I suppose I should pick up the pace in December, huh?
Anna-Marie McLemore
I have heard nothing but praise for Anna-Marie McLemore’s work, and I so badly want to get started on their novels! I actually own both Wild Beauty and Blanca & Roja, so hopefully in the new year, I can get cracking.
Sarah Gailey
Not only is Sarah Gailey funny as all hell on Twitter (they are a DELIGHT, I highly recommend following them), but they also managed to write a historical reimagining of the US with HIPPOS PEOPLE RIDE, and then Magic for Liars keeps getting pitched to me as Petunia Dursley but better, so I’ve got to get to their work soon.
Taylor Jenkins Reid
Who hasn’t heard of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones and the Six at this point? So many people are just RAVING about Taylor Jenkins Reid’s work, and I’m planning to see if my library has either one of her books (since both books are almost $30 a pop 😭)!
Kerri Maniscalco
The hype surrounding Kerri Maniscalco’s SJTR quartet is UNBELIEVABLE, and it really is high time I get myself in on the action. Historical and mystery mixed together for a good dose of danger, plus a heroine that I hear is absolutely headstrong and formidable? Oh, I am so on board.
Katya de Becerra
Katya de Becerra has been floating around my radar for a while, not quite popular, but popping up in reviews from folks whose opinions I trust. I might be able to borrow an ARC of Oasis from someone soon, and I’m eyeballing the possibility of getting What the Woods Keep from my library because I am INTRIGUED.
So, there you have it! A list of the authors that I really need to just bite the bullet and get around to. It’s hard, hearing all these good things about them and still not having the time to open their books! 😭 Hopefully this December, though, once I’m free from the pressures of NaNo, I can get back on track.
Which authors do you need to get around to, though?
LOVE Taylor Jenkins Reid! Magic for Liars was a bit of a bummer for me but I still want to read some of her other works!

Aw, I’m sorry Magic for Liars didn’t work for you! I’m still on board, though. Gailey is too funny on Twitter for me to delay too much longer on their stuff.

Haha, that’s probably gonna be the top comment for the day. Apparently I am REALLY behind as a reader since I haven’t picked her up yet.

I could not think of 5 authors. But you are right heard a lot about 7 husbands and Daisy so should probably read Taylor’s work.

When you have a TBR as tall as mine, thinking of 5 seems like too few tbh. 😅 But hey, if TJR is on your list now, you’ve got at least one!

I like Maniscalco, although I do think that she’s a little overhyped. I hope you enjoy all of these!💜

I can see overhype, given how often I see her stuff given promo. Still gonna try, though. And thanks!

I am laughing because I have book(s) from all of these authors except for Kerri Maniscalco that I need to get around to reading sometime this century.
