Weekly Wrap

It’s one month until my birthday, all right!

Life Beyond the Blog

It’s also about a month until I pack up all my things and head back to campus for my final year of college, and I’m starting to feel the pressure. There’s so much to do between now and then, not to mention a whole lot to do once the school year starts, and it’s really easy to get overwhelmed while thinking about it.

I’ve also started to practice driving again, which is more than a little nerve-wracking. I’ve had horrible driver’s anxiety for years, and it’s prevented me from ever getting my license. Sooner rather than later, though, I’m going to need it, so I’ve been slowly working on it over the last week or so. My goal is to be ready to take my test about three weeks from now, but I’m not sure if that’s going to be possible or not. We’ll have to wait and see, and I’ll have to stick with it in the meantime.

The Week Ahead

Well, for one, it’s supposed to rain a lot this week, which gives me time to stay inside and read! Plus, my NaNo word count schedule lightens up this week, which also gives me time to read. I haven’t had any time to pick up a book the whole month, so I’m really hoping that this works in my favor and I can blitz through a few books at once. I still have A Conjuring of Light to read, and I picked up both Edge of the Abyss and The Last Magician from the library this week, not to mention I got approved for an ARC of Strange Grace. My goal of reading five books in July is starting to look very possible!

I hope your week has treated you kindly, and I hope the week to come is even better!

  1. Happy very early birthday! My daughter also has severe driver anxiety hasn’t gotten her license yet either because of it. Maybe one day she will, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon lol
